What are the hours?
Lights on the Bay is open to drivers each night, including holidays, Monday-Thursday, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday-Sunday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

When will Santa be at Lights on the Bay?
Santa will be at Lights on the Bay for our Lights and Leashes event on November 17th and 18th, 2023. He will also make an appearance on Thanksgiving.

How much is admission to Lights on the Bay?
Admission into Lights on the Bay is $20.00 per car. Large passenger vans, mini buses, and trolleys are $30.00. Buses are $50.00.

Who do I contact if I did not receive my online tickets?

When is the last day to experience Lights on the Bay?
Lights on the Bay will run from November 19, 2023, through January 1, 2024.

Is Lights on the Bay open on holidays?
Lights on the Bay is open during holidays and operates according to its usual hours: Monday-Thursday, 6 p.m. to 10 p.m., and Friday-Sunday, 5 p.m. to 10 p.m.

What is Lights and Leashes?
Lights and Leashes is a two-night event that invites animal lovers to enjoy a unique experience by walking through the light show on foot. Lights and Leashes 2023 has passed, but stay tuned for information surrounding next year’s event.

Will there be a 5K this year?
There will not be a 5K this year, but if you’re interested in going through on foot, we have our Lights and Leashes event on November 17th and 18th, 2023, from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. During this event, you can walk through the lights.

  • Driving through “Lights on the Bay” at Sandy Point State Park has become a tradition for many families for the past decade. The Lights on the Bay display is a scenic drive along the shore of the Chesapeake Bay with more than 70 spectacular animated and stationary displays illuminating the roadway. Our holiday light show is sponsored by the SPCA of Anne Arundel County.
